Behaviour and Rewards Overview
At De La Salle, our Behaviour and Rewards system is rooted in our Lasallian mission:
“You can perform miracles by touching the hearts of those entrusted to your care.”
We strive to create a calm, safe and respectful environment where every student can flourish academically, socially, morally and spiritually. Our approach is built on positive relationships, clear expectations and consistent routines that help students develop strong habits for life.
Our Lasallian Values
Everything that we do is guided by the school’s five core values:
- Respect for all persons
- Compassion and concern for others
- Belong – inclusive community
- Faith in the presence of God
- Challenge – striving for quality in all we do
These values underpin our expectations, our teaching, and the way that we recognise and reward students.
What We Expect From Our Students
We ask all students to:
- Treat everyone with respect
- Arrive ready to learn with the correct equipment
- Wear their uniform correctly
- Engage fully in lessons
- Follow staff instructions first time
- Attend school regularly and punctually
- Make positive contributions to the school community
- Keep mobile phones and smart watches switched off from the Blue Line until 3pm
We do not tolerate violence, aggression, bullying, discrimination, or any behaviours that compromise safety or disrupt learning.
The Blue Line
Each morning, students cross the Blue Line, where staff welcome them and check that they are ready for the day. This includes uniform checks, equipment checks and ensuring mobile phones are switched off. This routine supports high expectations and helps students start the day positively.
